under the microscope, the results are quite dramatic. One of the starkest things you see when looking at a composite ruby is that its sometimes contains air bubbles that have been trapped in the glass during manufacture.

You need to be very careful when wearing composite rubies, as experts claim that they are not stable. Chemicals used by some jewelers wil start to affect the glass and also common household cleaners can also affect the composite rubies, causing their glass to be eaten away. Normal real natural rubies on the other hand woudl not be affected in any way.

Don’t be Fooled

Many people are buying these composite rubies thinking they are real, they get a big shock when the expert tells them thy are fake. The air bubbles in the glass are a classic giveaway to the composite rubies. Sellers often doctor the evaluation report, especially the part that says the rubies are not real,and lots of people are being scammed.
